SEATTLE, July 24, 2015 – Remote Medical International® (RMI) actively devotes a portion of its time and resource towards focusing on the needs of military, veterans, and their families through direct employment, training, and the sponsorship of organizations that assist them.
Seeking to hire veterans who have experience working in challenging and remote environments, over 15% of our current field staff has a military background.
RMI specializes in pre-deployment medical training, which is primarily used in preparation for military or peacekeeping deployments to Africa or the Middle East. Our training courses are created with the audience and operating environment in mind, so that students have the knowledge to respond to real-world situations with the medical skills necessary to save lives in high-acuity or disaster areas.
A long-time supporter of our nation’s heroes, RMI has trained and certified over 13,000 students from all branches of the US military, law enforcement, FBI, Border Patrol, Wounded Warriors, and other government and commercial organizations.
We also offer remote medical training classes to the public, such as our Remote Emergency Medical Technician (REMT) course. Post-911 and Montgomery GI Bill benefits, as well as the Department of Defense’s Military Spouse Career Advancement Accounts (MyCAA) program, can apply towards the tuition portion of this course.
We strive to contribute to the future success of these brave individuals and their spouses when they return home through offering an opportunity to improve skills and enhance employment opportunities in today’s job market.
Additionally, RMI is pleased to support Team Rubicon, a veteran humanitarian organization that provides relief following a disaster event and before the arrival of conventional humanitarian aid. We have frequently provided them with medical supplies during their numerous operations, which were most recently used to help survivors following the devastating earthquakes in Nepal this year.
We at RMI are very proud of our support of active and former military and celebrate the service and sacrifice that these individuals have made.
